Where is it bound at

I have an application that is set to users can see all but only edit theirs.
Works good.

I have another table that allows me to set the assigned person same field the security uses.

I use active directory.

When I assign the user form the uggroups table it does not allow then to edit the file.

Any help in where to look for or set the user.
