how to check that a Tab in a tabgroup is empty

Hi,

I have a tab group with 10 tabs
On accasion I make fields hidden or visible.

Some times there are no fields shown on a tab.
Because there are no fields I want to hide that tab with tabs.hidden( n ).

Is there an easy way to check that a tab is empty?
